Why Volunteer?

Sutherland Care Forum is always keen to attract new volunteers.   All you need are a few hours per week and the will to help someone who would really appreciate it.  Don`t worry if you have no experience, as full training is provided.

There are lots of ways you can help.  Perhaps you could visit a client at home for a cup of coffee and a chat.  Our existing team of volunteers say that they look forward to their regular visits as much as their clients do, this could be volunteering as part of our Friends at  Home Service.  Or maybe you would like to help a client to attend an appointment, or make a regular phone call to ensure their wellbeing.  We offer a volunteer telephone support service to our clients.

In December 2017 we started an additional  footcare service which offers toenail cutting  and  advice.   We currently have three SCF volunteers  who help us deliver this service in the Bonar Bridge, Ardgay,  Rosehall and Lairg area.  It is hoped we can expand this soon to East  Sutherland.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you feel you could help our clients.    If interested please contact us on 01408 634171 for more information.
